Come out and help us clean up Florida’s coast.  \nSwamp Head Brewery and the Coastal Conservation Association Florida are teaming up to bring you a coastal cleanup event for the whole family\, with free food\, beer and tons of prizes!  \nThroughout 2018\, we will be traveling all over our sunny state\, visiting our favorite fishing spots\, and cleaning up Florida’s waterways – and we want you to join us. You can expect to fill your hands with beer\, food\, free goodies\, and a day of competitive display of coastal conservation. \nEach Trash Tour stop will be run as a tournament-style trash round-up with prizes from our awesome sponsors awarded for a number of different categories. SUMMARY:Hook Kids On Fishing-Hobe Sound
DESCRIPTION:In partnership with the Hobe Sound Nature Center and Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge\, Anglers for Conservation (AFC) is coordinating AFC’’s Hook Kids on Fishing program on Saturday\, April 21st from 9-11am. The FREE Hook Kids on Fishing program will take place at: \nHobe Sound Nature Center\n13640 SE Federal Hwy\nHobe Sound\, Fl. 33455 \nKids ages 6 to 16\, are welcome along with their parents. The first 50 kids registered may receive a free rod and reel. Registration is mandatory by visiting hobesoundnaturecenter.com or calling (772) 546-2067. \nThese conservation-minded Hook Kids on Fishing programs teach casting\, fishing safety\, knot tying\, the tackle box\, catch and release tactics\, fishing habitat and conservation; and are taught by professional guides and knowledgeable anglers. DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Earth Day with the Marine Resources Council! \nDate/Time: Saturday\, April 21\, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. \nLocation: MRC Ted Moorhead Lagoon House at 3275 Dixie Hwy NE Palm Bay\, Florida\, FL 32905. \nAttendance: Open and Free to the Public. (Attendees must register.) \nPlease join the MRC for a day of lagoon learning and giving in celebration of Earth Day at the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House on Saturday\, April 21\, 2018. You can give back by helping clean up the shoreline and grounds of the Lagoon House\, or register to build and take home a water saving rain barrel to help prevent polluted storm water from entering our lagoon. MRC has assembled leading experts\, to speak and answer questions from attendees about lagoon research and restoration plans\, local Coast Guard Initiatives & whale monitoring. DESCRIPTION:Join the MRC for a day of Lagoon learning and giving in celebration of Earth Day!  The day will be filled with fun educational talks on current Lagoon restoration efforts and projects\, as well as hands on activities that allow you to give back to the Lagoon.  All topped off with a tasty lunch catered by Coastal Crab Co. and live Caribbean music throughout! \nThis event is free and open to anyone!  \nThe days lineup consists of:  \n9a.m-10:45a.m: Shoreline Cleanup\nIt can’t be Earth Day without a good old trash cleanup\, right?? \n10a.m: Rain Barrel Workshop\nHead over to the Rain Barrel Station to learn how to create your very own Rain Barrel that can help reduce up to 50\,000 gallons of stormwater from entering the Lagoon!
