DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters of the Space Coast hosts a Timely Topics Luncheon\, “Let’s Get Better Together” with Guest Speaker Brevard Zoo Executive Director Keith Winsten.   \nThe event will be held on Wednesday\, May 2\, 2018 at 11:30 AM at the Brevard Zoo in the Nyami Nyami River Lodge.  The Zoo is located at 8225 N. Wickham Road\, Melbourne\, FL 32940. \nKeith Winsten notes that in 2016\, the citizens of Brevard County made a bold statement by overwhelmingly voting to tax themselves to cover the costs of restoring the Indian River Lagoon and since that critical moment\, there has been a growing awareness that we control our own destiny when it comes to quality of life on the Space Coast and that we can make this a better community for ourselves\, our kids and our grandkids by getting involved in sustainability and conservation issues.    \nThis event will have a broad-ranging conversation about how we\, as a community\, can get better together at fostering our special way of life on the Space Coast.  \nBoxed Lunches from Green Turtle Market and beverages are provided.  Menu choices are:  Rosemary Chicken Panini\, Roast Beef Pub Special or Fresh Veggie Panini.
