SUMMARY:Karma Beach Yoga & Keep Brevard Beautiful Beach Clean up
DESCRIPTION:Come give yourself and our beautiful beaches some LOVE with early morning beach yoga and clean-up. \nHOTY Karma Yoga & KBB Clean-Up are held on our Adopted Shore at Cherie Down Park in Cape Canaveral\, that we’ve sponsored over 16 years. It’s more than ever time to “Live More Green and Live More Lean” with Suzanne & Joe Elliott\, Founders and Directors from HOTY on the Island. \nWe will be hosting a free mini-Yoga session to warm-up. A Yoga Mat is NOT necessary\, but if you want one\, we suggest a cheap beach straw mat and/or beach towel or HOT Yoga mat\, you can keep your belongings on it or use after jumping in the ocean to sun dry. We will be doing Standing Yoga poses only\, known to warm-up the body and as a way to TAKE A STAND to honor nature and outdoor life and living in the Sunshine state. Earn good karma for our Mother Earth on the beach and help us help KBB with our Adopt-A-Shore clean-up. It will be very Therapeutic to practice our Healing\, Original\, Therapeutic YOGA inhaling the salty air from the sea as we watch the Sun Rise to help us Seize the Day! SEAS the Day! Feel the Rays! See the SEA! Smell the Salt! Hear the Waves! Touch the Earth! Experience SEA\, SAND\, SPACE & SURF! \nYoga in the sand\, come earlier to watch the Sunrise. Participants can bring water and sunscreen. \nKBB will provide grabbers\, buckets\, latex gloves\, and trash bags. HOTY Team will provide table\, sign-in\, free yoga and accept donations for KBB. \nThe HOTY TEAM will be leading Standing Yoga poses the first thirty minutes to warm-up for the clean-up to start after taking a stand in the sand with Yoga.

DESCRIPTION:What We’ll Do – Dig out small Brazilian Pepper trees\, cut branches away from the trails\, cut back vines\, or weed the gardens. We need volunteers to help maintain this beautiful green space. DESCRIPTION:Online Registration Required.  Once registered will automatically receive email with Zoom details for signing into online presentation. \nIf you do not receive the confirmation email with the zoom link within minutes of registering\, please check your spam/junk folder.  Some email accounts if membership@seaturtlespacecoast is not in your contacts it will go directly to spam. \nTurtle Talk 101 presentations are free and open to the public. The slide presentation is an introduction to sea turtles and includes a basic overview of the sea turtle species with concentration on species that commonly nest on the Brevard County beaches. The presentation also examines the causes of sea turtle population declines and the ongoing laws in effect to protect and prevent them from becoming extinct. Free information brochures will be available for attendees before and after the slide presentation\, as well as some sea turtle props on display for viewing. \nThe Turtle Talk 101 presentation will begin promptly at 10:00am and will last about an hour and a half with questions.  \nFor questions\, contact education@seaturtlespacecoast.org

SUMMARY:Sea Turtle Preservation Society Volunteer Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Orientation is for current STPS members who would like to become a volunteer\, already submitted a volunteer application\, and the volunteer application has been approved by the STPS Volunteer Coordinator. \nSTPS members MUST register on-line to participate in this presentation!! \n\nRegistration links will not be provided in the STPS calendar\, but the dates and time will.  Once active membership is confirmed and a volunteer application is approved an email will be sent with the Volunteer Orientation registration links.  Click on the date in the email you wish to attend and register on-line.  Once registration is complete an email will automatically be sent with the links to attend. \nIf you are not receiving emails from us please check junk/spam folder it may be in there. \nVolunteer requirements are: \n  \n\nActive Membership\nhttps://seaturtlespacecoast.org/membership/become-a-member/\nSubmit a volunteer application\nhttps://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/ap?ap=2032564183 \n\nTake Turtle Talk 101 at least once (see calendar for registration)\n\nTake Volunteer Orientation (registration links will be sent when volunteer application is approved) \n\n\nVolunteer Orientation will provide information about Sea Turtle Preservation Society\, our mission\, programs\, and permitted activities.
