DESCRIPTION:Looking for a fun way to give back to the Lagoon and get your hands dirty?  Come join the MRC Mangrove Team!   \nThis is a volunteer team that meets on the first Saturday of each month at 9:30am.  The team works to maintain and grow the thousands of mangroves housed at the MRC Greenhouse.  The team typically meets down at the MRC Greenhouse located in Vero Beach\, FL.  If you would like to caravan with MRC staff\, please meet at the Lagoon House (3275 Dixie Hwy. NE\, Palm Bay\, FL 32905) no later than 8:30am. \nPlease be aware that participation involves working in some standing water and lots of dirt.  Come dressed appropriately and in boots\, crocs\, or shoes that you don’t mind getting wet and dirty.  \nPlease visit our website http://www.SaveTheIRL.org to fill our a Volunteer Application or email kate@mrcirl.org for more information!  \nDirections for the Greenhouse:\nComing from 512 heading South\, you will turn left on 510 after Publix.  Stay on 510 around the bend and turn left after the big pink wall onto 86th Ave.  The nursery is located at the very end of 86th Ave. You will come to a fork with some mailboxes on the right where the road will turn from dirt to grass…just keep going alllll the way to the end. We will put out MRC signs along 86th Ave to indicate you are on the right track.

SUMMARY:World Oceans Day Beach Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Canaveral National Seashore and KBB have partnered for a beach cleanup on June 8\, World Oceans Day! This cleanup is also in conjunction with the Titusville Sea Turtle Festival\, held that weekend. Cleanup starts at 8am at Eddy Creek after Parking #7 in Canaveral National Seashore. Entrance to Canaveral National Seashore is free for volunteers. KBB will provide trash grabbers\, buckets\, latex gloves\, and trash bags.
