The Coalition is comprised of non-profit, non-partisan organizations.  These Partners, while often working on different Lagoon issues, come together for one common goal - to help restore the Indian River Lagoon.

For over 30 years, the Marine Resources Council has been the Lagoon’s voice: advocating for Lagoon protection, restoring shorelines, conserving buffer lands, collecting and sharing scientific data, and educating future generations.  MRC coordinates the award winning LagoonWATCH citizen science program, operates Florida's largest state-licensed mangrove nursery, and much more!


Brevard Zoo‘s Restore Our Shores is a community-based program that umbrellas multiple projects focused on Lagoon restoration and education that, since 2009, has helped gather over 6,000 volunteers into an active cohort of Lagoon restoration advocates. Through oyster projects and native planting initiatives, ROS is focused on restoring the IRL.


Keep Brevard Beautiful is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing community partnerships which educate, motivate and activate everyone, in order to reduce litter, recycle,  beautify your surroundings, and sustain the environment for the benefit of Brevard County.


The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education.  The Surfrider Foundation Space Coast Chapter is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of beaches in Brevard County & the health of our Lagoon

The mission of Lagoon Watermen Alliance is to protect the entire Indian River Lagoon system by advocating for science-based solutions that will lead to improved water quality, protection of imperiled habitats, and safeguarding of gamefish populations.

The St. Johns River Water Management District, an environmental regulatory agency in Florida, is dedicated to safeguarding the Indian River Lagoon and other water bodies across 18 counties in northeast and east-central Florida. Through partnerships and independent efforts, we've implemented tailored projects for water restoration, including coastal marsh restoration, wastewater redirection, stormwater and sanitary sewer improvements and septic tank repairs. A key focus is monitoring and reporting water quality, using data from numerous lagoon stations to guide science-based decisions for protection and restoration efforts throughout the lagoon.

Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI) is a non-profit scientific research organization committed to conserving and renewing marine life to ensure a healthier planet. Our Marine Mammal Stranding Team provides 24/7 animal response and coordination for nearly 124 miles of coast and 1,200 square miles of estuarine waters including the Indian River Lagoon. This important research focuses on predicting and preventing impacts from human disturbance, habitat loss and pollution, and climate change.


Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Florida is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Florida’s marine resources.
