6. Funding for the Duane DeFreese Conservation Education Hub at the proposed Aquarium.

Last year there was a request to provide funding for the aquarium which didn't get approved. This year we are asking specifically for funding for the Duane DeFreese Conservation Hub which will provide a lagoonside venue for Education and meetings for the many restoration programs going on around the lagoon. The Coalition plans to utilize this space for educational seminars and to just have an everyday presence for schools trips, tourists and local meetings.
