7. Allow Counties to establish Seasonal Fertilizer Ordinances

This article describes the implications of the Florida legislature's ban on new local fertilizer ordinances. It is only a one year hold, but the reason local control of fertilizer ordinances is important is: soil type, proximity to sensitive waterbodies, rainfall, temperatures, all vary depending on location, so one rule for all is not effective in solving fertilizer pollution problems. We will be watching for new legislation to see what their intentions are.
