Cocoa Beach Canal Dredging
Working together, SOIRL, St. Johns River Water Management, the State and Cocoa Beach are completing a major 3 phase Finger Canal dredging project that will reduce Total Nitrogen by >110,000 lbs/yr and Phosphorous by >1,400 lbs/yr. Muck from the bottom of the canals is suctioned as a slurry to the Spoils site where it is dewatered, dried and then trucked to an appropriate upland disposal.
