Thousand Islands Conservation Area is a 338-acre site located on the Banana River adjacent to Cocoa Beach and consists of a series of islands in the Indian River Lagoon. The area is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including storks, alligators, manatees, as well as rare and endangered tropical plants. The primary access point is from Ramp Road boat ramp in Cocoa Beach.
