Family Fun Day

 There were plenty of fun activities for the whole family at The Family Fun Day on October 4 in in Goode Park(opens in new tab).

There were food trucks and tents with education on Lagoon revival and preservation efforts of many kinds. Experts were on hand representing the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Program, Restore Our Shores/Brevard Zoo, Keep Brevard Beautiful and there was special information about activities and opportunities in Turkey Creek (which runs adjacent to Goode Park). The Marine Resources Council was also on hand to teach youth classes demonstrating how water quality affects marine life in the Lagoon.

There was even a Big Foot sighting. He does EXIST!

OCTOBER 4, 10 AM - 4 PM

About the activities:

  • Palm Bay Parks & Rec had a booth with activities for young children.
  • Marine Resources Council had a Teen Lagoon educational activity table
  • Demonstration of C-Hawk Muck removal with Mangrove wave tank
  • Many booths had activities planned for children and youth
  • Experts were on hand to talk about Lagoon revival and survival
