Join us at the old Sebastian Beach Inn for this year’s beach cleanup. Specific location to be determined.
2019 sea turtle nesting has already started with the Leatherbacks on Florida’s East Coast. This event is planned to clean the beach in advance of the Loggerhead season that starts around May 1. The Greens begin nesting in June with a season that can extend to November. The Carr Refuge is one of the most important beaches for sea turtles worldwide, so let’s do our best to clean it including the small pieces of plastic that the hatchlings ingest.
Please bring the sunscreen and insect repellent of your choice. Bring a reusable water bottle. We will have water at the beach access points to fill your bottles.
