Collaboration by St. John’s River Water Management District, Florida DEP, Florida Inland Navigation District, Brevard County and the City of Melbourne led to total funding of $24M. Suction dredging of more 630,000 cubic yards of muck, piping of muck for dewatering and disposal in the Sarno landfill took place from Feb. 2017 till March 2019.
