Protestors call for action in Titusville after raw sewage spill into Indian River Lagoon

Florida Today, Tyler Vasquez, Jan 9, 2021

On Saturday, January 9th, residents of Titusville and others in Brevard County marched from Sand Point Park south to Titusville City Hall to protest the thousands of gallons of raw sewage spilled into the water over the holidays. “What happened here … the fact that sewage from this lake went down that ditch into the river for a week when the city was advised to stop that ditch and they didn’t do it? That was bad.” stated Laurilee Thompson, owner of the local seafood restaurant, Dixie Crossroads.  For more on the story, click here.
